Div I T20 Kalabagan on winning run
Kalabagan K.C yesterday beat Dhaka Wanderers Club by a narrow margin of 10 runs at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium in the third day of the Dhaka First Division T20 Cricket Tournament.
Batting first in the shortened match of 13 overs a side, Kalabagan scored 92 runs and lost four wickets in the process. In response, Dhaka Wanderers Club made 82-7 with Delwar unbeaten on 40. Kalabagan's Nasir picked up 3-16.
At the same venue, later in the day Lalmatia Club lost for the second time in the tournament against group rivals Rupali Bank C.C. Winning the toss and electing to bat first Lalmatia (99-9) were handed a six wicket defeat by their opponents who successfully chased their target down in the 18th over. Zico remained not out on 34 to see Rupali Bank C.C win their first match of the tournament.
In other matches at the Dhaka University Ground, Baridhara Dazzlers held onto their good form in the tournament by beating Orient S.C by two wickets. Being put into bat first Orient S.C could only muster up a score of 99-9 in their allotted twenty overs. Baridhara (100-8) reached their target in a close finish with two balls remaining in the match. It was their second consecutive win.
In another close match at DUG, Khelaghar S.K.S (131) beat Eskaton S.S (117) by 14 runs. Eskaton's rookie batsman Rohan put up a brave effort by blasting a quick 59 but fell short of securing a victory for his team.
