Rajshahi go on top
Rajshahi edged past Dhaka by eight runs to move to the top of the Women's National Cricket League along with Khulna who destroyed Chittagong yesterday.
Dhaka spinner Papiya Haque had unbelievable figures of five wickets for just three runs but Dhaka's batswomen failed to be inspired as they were bowled out for 141 runs in 46 overs, in reply to Rajshahi's 149 from 44.2 overs.
Coming into bowl as the fifth change, Papiya made light work of Rajshahi's lower order in her spell of just 4.2 overs. But the northern division's bowlers came out on top with Panna, Lota and Farzana taking two wickets each.
In the day's other match, Khulna defeated Chittagong by 98 runs and joined Rajshahi on six points. Shuktara Rahman took seven wickets as Chittagong were routed for just 50 runs.
Dhaka are in second spot with four while Chittagong have two points. Sylhet and Barisal are still without a win.
