Two killed in road accidents
Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Gopalganj and Narail in last two days.
UNB from Gopalganj adds: One person was killed and two others were injured as a truck hit another truck from behind at Bansherhat in Moksedpur upazila yesterday.
Police said two trucks skidded off the road when a Faridpur-bound cement laden truck from Mongla hit another stranded truck on the road at about 5:30am, leaving three injured.
Pannu, 40, helper of the stranded truck, succumbs to his injuries on way to Upazila Health Complex.
Injured Al-Amin, 35, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition while Waliur, 23, admitted to a local clinic.
A correspondent from Narail adds: A sexagenarian person was killed in a road accident on Narail-Magura road near Durgapur village in Narail on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Liakat Hossain, 66, of Charbila village under Narail sadar upazila.
Police and locals said the accident occurred at about 9.30pm when he was crossing the road, a Magura- bound truck hit him leaving him dead on the spot.
