Rebel runner promises equal dev in all areas

Independent runner Khagrachhari Awami League secretary Mohammad Jahidul Alam yesterday said if voted, he will ensure equal development in all areas of the hill district.
He also promised permanent settlement of Bangalees now living in 82 cluster villages.
Addressing a rally at Muktamanchha in Khagrachhari town, jahidul also said he would remove all discrimination between Bangalee and indigenous people and resolve all disputes amicably.
He said steps will be taken to set up industries to create jobs for unemployed people. Steps will be taken to give soft loans for setting up fruits processing plants, cold storages and small agro-based industries, he said.
District AL leaders Abdul Momin, advocate Mohi Uddin, advocate Tayeb Ali, Sramik League president Kamal Uddin and district Jubo League convener Mohammad Rafiqul Alam also spoke, among others.
