Shibir cadres attack Pabna BCL leader

A Chhatra League leader was injured as Shibir cadres attacked him on Tuesday night at Peerpur village under Sadar upazila in the district.
Identified as Md Moniruzzaman Sajib, 22, son of Abdul Gafur of the same village, the victim is the vice president of BCL unit at Ataikula union.
Sources said Sajib was conducting a campaign for Golam Faruk Prince, AL nominee from Pabna-5 constituency.
The victim told this correspondent, “The Shibir cadres assaulted me when I was returning home on Tuesday night after the campaigning.”
He was admitted to Pabna general hospital. The AL nominee along with other leaders rushed to the hospital. Four-party alliance nominee in the constituency and the top Jamaat leader Maulana Abdus Subhan also went to the hospital to see him, sources added.
Jubo League and BCL leaders demanded punishment to the culprits.
