Booters to return in groups
The Bangladesh football team will return from Myanmar in two groups with the first one due to land in Dhaka tonight.
It was learned that the whole 23-member squad could not be accommodated in one flight, which forced the national team to travel separately on conclusion of their 3rd Grand Royal Challenge Cup campaign. The second batch is scheduled to come back tomorrow.
Bangladesh, who finished bottom of their three-team group with one point, drew the opening match against hosts Myanmar 0-0 before losing to Indonesia 2-0. Myanmar and Indonesia both reached the semifinals with four and three points respectively.
Myanmar will take on Malaysia in the first semifinal tomorrow while Korean club Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i, who drubbed Vietnam U-23s 4-1 in the last group match yesterday, face Indonesia in the second semifinal on Wednesday.
