Death anniversary
Today is the 37th death anniversary of Dr Azhar and Dr Humayun, the first victims of the Al-Badr during the liberation war, says a press release.
Both of them used to give treatments to the injured freedom fighters in secret.
A memorial plaque has been erected beside the culvert adjacent to Notre Dame College in memory of the martyred doctors on their death anniversary in 1997.
On the occasion, Qurankhwani will be held and wreaths will be placed at their graves at Azimpur Old Graveyard in the city after Asr prayers today.
