People won't accept election boycott: Menon
Workers Party (WP) president Rashed Khan Menon yesterday cautioned people against those who want to boycott the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections showing lame excuses.
Menon said this while was addressing a roadside gathering at Peyadarhut Bazaar in Muladi upazila.
He said people will never accept their decision because the decision will push the country towards uncertainty.
Previously, these people tried to hold an unacceptable election with fake voters under their controlled chief election commissioner (CEC) before one-eleven. The same people are now trying to foil the upcoming polls, he said. There is no alternative to polls, he said adding the country will return to democracy if election is held on the scheduled date.
Workers Party leaders Prof Abdus Sattar, Nazrul Huq, Nilu, Jalilur Rahman, Advocate Tipu Sultan and Awami League leader Abdul Barek Khan accompanied Menon during his visit.
