Police team leaves for UN peace mission in Ivory Coast
A 70-member team of police left the city on Saturday night to join the United Nations' peacekeeping mission in Ivory Coast, says a press release.
The team would replace two contingents named BANFPU-1 and BANFPU-2. Additional Police Super Rebeka Sultana will lead the team BANFPU-1 while Additional Police Super Nizamul Haq Mollah will lead BANFPU-2.
Earlier, on October 29, a 180-member team of police left the city for Ivory Coast for these two contingents.
Currently, a total of one thousand and eighty three members of police are appointed in the UN peacekeeping missions in different countries across the world.
