Rajib drops points
Enamul Hossain Rajib dropped valuable points in the sixth round of the 12th Bavarian Open International Chess Champion-ship at Bad Wiessee in Germany when the Bangladeshi Grand-master drew with Poland's GM Babras Piotr on Thursday.
Rajib, who played with black pieces in Closed Ruy Lopez Vreyer Variation and maintained his unbeaten run, was on five points to share the second position along with 14 other players.
The Bangladeshi GM was pitted against Henrichs Thomas of Germany in the seventh round yesterday.
Local GM Alexander Naumann joined French GM Edouard Romain in the lead with 5.5 points after six rounds.
