200 women fall victim to repression in October
A total of 200 women fell victim to repression last month, according to a survey report of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad.
Of the victims, 41 women were raped and 10 of them were killed after rape.
Five women fell victim to sexual harassment, four women fell victim to acid violence and three others were abducted, the report said.
The report also said that 11 women were killed and six other women were also tortured over dowry. Two women fell victim to Fatwa.
During the period, 26 women committed suicide following torture and 10 women and children died under mysterious circumstances.
The Mahila Parishad prepared the report on the basis of reports published in 14 newspapers.
