Young booters training hard in London
The young footballers from Bangladesh, representing the Canary Wharf Youth Football Academy, drew their first friendly match in London on Friday.
The match against Bethnal Green United under-15 side ended in a 3-3 draw, informed coordinator Fazlur Rahman Babul from London.
The 23-member team from Bangladesh started hard training on October 27 at the Chingford Scout Centre, where facilities are top-class.
Although unused to the low temperature (3-10 degrees Celsius) and occasional snowfall, the boys are training from 10.30am-1.30pm everyday.
Zakir Khan, founder of the academy and community affairs manager of Canary Wharf, is providing local hospitality.
The team also visited the Wembley Stadium and the FA presented UK national team jersey to the visitors at a reception.
They will play three more friendly matches against London's top football club under-15 sides.
