Four killed in road accidents
Four people were killed and 10 others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla and Rajshahi yesterday
UNB reports: Three people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an ambulance on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Tamta at Daudkandi in Comilla.
One of the dead was identified as Emran, driver of the ambulance.
Police said the Dhaka-bound bus from Chouddagram upazila collided with the Comilla-bound ambulance at about 9:00am, killing the driver and two unidentified passengers of the ambulance on the spot.
Ten passengers of the bus were also injured. Three of them were admitted to a local hospital.
Staff correspondent in Rajshahi adds: A housewife was killed in a road accident at Andharkota in Godagari of Rajshahi yesterday.
The victim was identified as Shahida Begum, 25, wife of Ismail Hossain of Sadar upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
The accident occurred when a speeding truck rammed the three-wheeler she was traveling in.
