Seven rescued from traffickers in Rajshahi
Police rescued seven people, including three women and a child, from Rajshahi Railway Station areas yesterday while they were being trafficked to India.
However, the traffickers managed to flee, said police.
They all hailed from Narail district.
They told newsmen that Jalal, a well-known manpower agent in Narail, took them to Rajshahi saying that they will be migrated to India with jobs and he took Tk 3500 from each of them.
Ramzan Ali, officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station, said police nabbed them since they were moving suspiciously in the station areas.
The rescued people were under police custody till filing of the report.
