'No question of Oli joining 4-party alliance'

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary General Prof Jahanara Begum said there is no question of party President Col (retd) Oli Ahmed or any of his colleagues joining the BNP-led four-party alliance.
In a statement, she said Oli Ahmed did not contact BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia over telephone in this regard.
A report published in The Daily Star under the headline 'BNP tries to woo ex-colleagues to expand alliance' on September 27 quoted a BNP leader as claiming that Oli Ahmed contacted Khaleda over the phone recently.
Protesting the report, Prof Jahanara Begum said, "It is strongly reiterated that LDP is with the Awami League-led grand alliance and still remains with the alliance."
