Ayub Bachchu

One of the best rock musicians of the country, Ayub Bachchu's latest album Rimjhim Brishti was launched on September 22 at a hotel. It is the 12th solo album of the artiste. His last solo album came out in 2006.
Rimjhim Brishti features 10 songs. All of the melody-based songs are composed by Ayub Bachchu. He said, "I always try to differentiate between my solo albums and the ones featuring my band LRB. In the solo albums, I use less instruments and try to emphasise on natural voice."
"Listeners will get a taste of our rich traditional melodies of 1960s and '70s in the songs featured in my new album, as was done in my earlier solo project titled Kashto," he added.
Besides releasing his solo, Ayub Bachchu has composed music for another album titled Moner Na Bola Katha, which was also launched at the same event. Moner Na Bola Katha features songs by Eva Rahman.
On the album, Bachchu said, "The audience is already aware of my style. In this album also, I've composed the songs in my familiar style. And Eva Rahman has aptly handled the soft rock numbers. I'm hopeful about the success of the album."
"It is the responsibility of the music composer to create suitable tracks for a particular artiste. Moreover, to make an album popular a composer must be aware of the peoples' taste. The earlier albums of Eva Rahman were not that popular as per her talent because those compositions didn't compliment her voice and neither did they reflect the spirit of the time," he added.
Both of the albums have been produced by ATN Music. ATN Bangla will air the music videos of Moner Na Bola Katha and Rimjhim Brishti on the Eid day and on the third day of Eid respectively.
Moreover, ATN Music has released two more solos -- Tumi Aar Ami by Shuvro Dev and Esho Shabdoheen Paye by Rabi Chowdhury -- and a mixed album titled Kheyal featuring popular singers S.I. Tutul, Bappa Majumder and Arnob.
Ayub Bachchu said, "Currently ATN Music, under the guidance of Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, is producing quality music albums, which should encourage talented singers."
On his upcoming projects, Ayub Bachchu said, "LRB will perform at two concerts in Kolkata between September 26 to 29. We have a huge crowd in Kolkata. And we also enjoy performing there. We're also working on LRB's upcoming album.”
