Five Indian nationals, who were pushed in by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) through the Benapole border in Jessore on September 9, were arrested by police while they were going to India from Madhabkati in Satkhira Sadar yesterday.
The arrestees are Julekha Begum, 25, her one-year-old-son Ismail, Saira Khatun, 20, Amirul Islam, 25, and Chandana Roy, 19.
While talking to this correspondent, victim Julekha Begum, Chandana Roy and Amirul Islam said they are Indian nationals and have been residing there since their birth but Indian police picked them up saying they are Bangladeshis and handed them over to BSF who pushed them to Bangladesh.
