'Extend govt service age for FFs'
The freedom fighters demanded extension of their retirement age in government services up to 65 years from 57.
They made the demand at a press conference at the National Press Club yesterday. Shahoshi Muktijoddha-Janata Oikya Parishad, a platform of freedom fighters, organised the press conference.
They also demanded honourarium and Eid bonus for freedom fighters.
Convenor of the platform Maj (retd) Zia Uddin Ahmed said in the press conference that the present government has taken a good number of reform initiatives but did not take any measure for freedom fighters.
One of the organisers of the Liberation War ASM Abdur Rab, freedom fighters Nur Islam Mollah, ABM Hasan Mahmud Panir were also present at the press conference.
