Madhyapara coal lifting resumes after 5 days

Agitating Bangladeshi miners of Madhyapara Granite Mining Company Ltd (MGMCL) yesterday resumed their work after five days following several negotiation meetings between with MGMCL authorities.
At the final meeting held at MGMCL conference room on Saturday night, the agitating Bangladesh miners agreed to join their work as the MGMCL authorities assured them of discussing their five-point demand with higher officials of Petrogangla, mother organisation of MGMCL
The Bangladeshi miners joined their work in the morning and extracted about 1,000 tonnes of coal yesterday, acting Managing Director Md Hannan said.
The 283 Bangladeshi miners of MGMCL started indefinite strike on Tuesday last to press home their five-point demand including arrangement for provident fund and hundred per cent mining allowance.
