Two people were killed and 30 others injured in separate road accidents in Benapole and Patuakhali yesterday.
Our Correspondent from Patuakhali reports: One person was killed and 25 others were injured in an accident on Patuakhali-Kuakata road in Patuakhali yesterday.
The victim was identified as Forkan, 30, of Amtali upazila in Barguna.
Witness said the accident occurred when a Barguna-bound bus felt in to roadside ditch loosing its control.
The injured were admitted in Patuakhali General Hospital.
A correspondent from Benapole adds: One person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident at Arabpur under Benapole in Jessore yesterday.
The dead was identified as Nasir, a cloth trader. The injured were identified as Israfil, 20, Mithu, 40, Liton 35, Halima 30, and Bashar, 40.
Witnesses said the accident occurred early Saturday when a Kushtia-bound bus hit their vehicle from behind leaving Nasir dead on the spot and injured others.
