People to reply of sufferings under current regime through ballot: Nizami
Jamaat chief Matiur Rahman Nizami yesterday said people, who have been going through sufferings for last 18 months, would reply through balloting.
The party's Amir Nizami said 1/11 changeover came as part of a conspiracy by the Awami League and a neighbouring nation, which had tried to make Bangladesh a non-functional state throughout the latest regime of the BNP-led four-party coalition.
He made the statement as he was addressing an iftar mahfil by the party at Santhia upazila parishad auditorium in the district.
Nizami said the state of emergency has remained in place as part of an effort “to separate the Islamic force from nationalist forces”.
