Thai ruling party to name PM choice tomorrow
Top officials from Thailand's ruling party will meet Monday to pick a nominee to be the next prime minister after Samak Sundaravej's bid to return was snuffed out, a candidate told AFP Saturday.
Sompong Amornviwat, deputy leader of the People Power Party (PPP) and apparent favourite for the post, confirmed the meeting Monday will choose one candidate, and hope that name is acceptable to its ruling coalition partners.
