At least 62 people were killed in a massive rockslide that crushed dozens of homes in a Cairo slum over the weekend, a security official said yesterday with the toll expected to rise further.
"The number of victims has gone up to 62 and 58 are injured," the official told AFP, asking not to be identified.
Many other bodies are feared buried under the rubble after giant boulders flattened dozens of homes in the shantytown of Manshiyet Nasser on Saturday, burying whole families.
