Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman bagged his first professional title when he won the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Players Championship at Poona Golf Club yesterday.
Siddikur qualified for the event last year when he finished fifth in PGTI's 2007-08 Qualifying-School even.
Siddikur also won the 118th Sri Lanka Amateur Golf Competition, Bangladesh Amateur Golf Competition, 104th All India Amateur Golf, 2nd Nepal Championship and 20th Partex Bangladesh Amateur Golf Championship.
Grameenphone has been sponsoring the golfer for the last two years.
