Zia Hyder laid to rest in Pabna

Noted dramatist Prof Zia Hyder was laid to rest at Arifpur sadar graveyard in Pabna on Tuesday night.
Earlier, his body was brought to his Doharpara residence in Pabna at about 8:30pm.
After the arrival of the body, teachers, journalists, lawyers, cultural activists and local people thronged his residence to pay their last respects to him.
Later, a namaz-e-janaza was held at Arifpur graveyard mosque. Several hundred people, including politicians, teachers, journalists, lawyers and cultural activists, attended the janaza.
Qulkhwani of Zia Hyder will be held at his Doharpara residence today.
