Khaleda's release process in final stage
Commerce Adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman yesterday said the process of former prime minister Khaleda Zia's release is now in the concluding stage.
He made the remark at a press briefing at the commerce ministry when asked how much more time it would take to get Khaleda released.
Responding to another question, he urged the political leaders to show their responsibility in creating a congenial atmosphere in the country for the sake of economic stability.
“They (political leaders) have to leave the hostile mentality,” Zillur said when his attention was drawn to Awami League's opposition to the release of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and its Senior Joint Secretary General Tarique Rahman.
About a question on the neutrality of the caretaker government, the commerce advisor, also a spokesman for the interim government, said, “We want to prove ourselves through our activities if we are neutral or not… People will judge.”
“We want to move ahead on the basis of a comforted situation,” the commerce adviser said.
