Kashmir rebels charged under tough law
Three politicians who participated in huge anti-India rallies in Kashmir have been charged under a tough law as police maintained a curfew for the ninth straight day Monday, police said.
The three -- Shabir Shah, Aasiya Andrabi and Ashraf Sehrai -- were arrested last week in the summer capital Srinagar.
They have been charged with threatening India's security under an act that could see them jailed without trial for two years, a Muslim police officer told AFP on condition of anonymity.
