Towhid's Brace Propelled Customs Club to a 2-0 win over BCIC Krira Sangsad in an ANZ Properties Premier Football League match at the MA Aziz Stadium yesterday.
Towhid struck in the 20th minute and then added one more in the 62nd minute.
BCIC player Harun was given a red card for misbehaving with the referee from the bench.
Earlier in another match, Friends Club defeated Kollol Sangha 1-0 with the all-important goal coming from Kanak Chakma, a Kollol defender, who scored the own goal in the 25th minute.
Kanak never intended to score the goal but when he tried to clear Akhtar's shot at goal, the ball was destined for only one place.
