National Poet’s death anniversary observed

Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parishad (NSSP) arranged a special musical programme titled "Smritio Hey Jay Bhola" at the National Music and Dance Centre, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on August 26. The programme was arranged to observe the 32nd death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Artistes of NSSP rendered Nazrul Sangeet belonging to different genres at the programme.
Renowned singer and president of NSSP, Ferdausi Rahman, inaugurated the programme. The inauguration was followed by a choral rendition of the song Hey partho sharothi.
Uttam Kumar Roy rendered Ghumao ghumao dekhitey eshchhi. Nasrin Jahan sang Bukey tomaye naiba pelam. Nadia Ferdous performed Shawon ashilo phirey. Chowdhury Mostaque Hossain and Rowshan Ara rendered Jagoter nath karo par and Keno aano phulodor respectively.
Among other artistes, Pujon Kumar Das, Salma Anjum, Shama Ahmed, Kazi Hosne Ara Monowar, Laila Matin, Muntarin Mahal, Sujit Mustafa, Rafique Ahmed and Ferdaus Parveen performed at the programme.
Sujit Mustafa was the MC of the programme.
