A minor boy was killed in a road accident on Brahmanbaria-Dhaka highway at Ghatura village in Brahmanbaria Sadar yesterday.
The victim was identified as Md Babu Mia, 10, son of Ali Mia.
The accident occurred when a Chittagong-bound speeding truck from Sylhet knocked Babu from behind while he was crossing the road.
Seriously injured, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to a local hospital.
Local people seized the killer truck and its driver.
On information police rushed to the spot and arrested the truck driver Anwar Hossain.
