Seminar on CSR held at IST

A seminar on corporate governance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Bangladesh was held at the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) auditorium in the city on Saturday, says a press release.
Institute of Science and Technology (IST) organised the seminar.
Prof Dr Mahboob Ali, chairman of School of Business and Economics, ADUST, Bangladesh and Prof Dr Victoria Wise, head of School of Accounting and Corporate Governance, University of Tasmania, Australia, jointly presented a keynote paper on the topic.
Prof Dr Shahida Rafique, chairman of Board of Governors of IST, presided over the seminar.
In the seminar speakers stressed on applications of corporate governance and corporate social responsibility in Bangladesh. They recommended changing of attitude and mindset to add value of the success of the corporations.
They also emphasised on the accountability of the board members of corporations and ethical business process.
