Rab seizes 14 firearms

Rab has recovered 14 illegal firearms, four bombs and ammunition conducting combing operations in Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jessore, Narail, Jhenidah, Chuadanga and Meherpur.
A member of outlawed Biplobi Communist Party (BCP) Sheikh Kamrul Islam (32), son of Sheikh Mansur Ali, was arrested during a drive at Diana of Daulatpur thana in Khulna.
Rab recovered an LG gun and two cartridges from his house.
He was accused in five murder cases filed with Daulatpur Police Station.
Besides, 13 firearms including five revolvers, one pistol, two shutter guns and five pipe-guns were recovered in eight districts of Khulna division.
Four powerful bombs were also recovered at a brickfield of Baliahat village under Gangni upazila in Maherpur during a drive from 9:00am on Friday to 6:00am yesterday.
