Ahsanur Rahman was the hero who struck twice in either half in the Group C encounter.
The winners took lead when Ahsanur found the net for Army, who lost their opening game against Sunrise Sporting Club at the Gazipur Stadium, just before the lemon break.
After the breather Army doubled the margin through a 59th minute strike by Ahsanur.
In the day's Group A match, Jatrabari Krira Chakra came from two goals down to hold Bangladesh Police 3-3 at the Gazipur Stadium.
