7-day DAM relief distribution programme begins
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has started a seven-day long relief distribution programme on Monday, says a press release.
With the financial assistance from Cord Aid, a donor agency, DAM has taken this programme in the backdrop of second time flooding in the country.
This time 14 kg rice, 1 kg pulse, 1 kg salt, 2 kg potato and 1 litre soybean oil will be given to each family. A total of 48,000 families will be benefited form this programme.
Relief will be distributed in phases at Sreeboardi in Sherpur district, Mohongong in Netrakona, Narsingdi Sadar and Raipura.
DAM distributed rice, molasses, pulse, candle, salt and matchbox among 2,600 flood affected families in Jamalpur and Sunamganj and Matuail in Dhaka last month.
