Absconding JCD cadre arrested in Sylhet

An absconding convict and a cadre of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was arrested from a house at Khashdobir here on Thursday.
The arrestee, Kamal Miah alias Gulli Kamaland, was also an ex-ward commissioner of former Sylhet Pourashava.
Kamal had been absconding since pronouncement of a verdict by a court here against him several months ago in a criminal case. He was sentenced to suffer five years rigorous imprisonment (RI) and fined Tk 5,000, in default, to suffer three months more RI.
