After fighting for life for nine days, the production official of Kohinur Chemical Company who was stabbed by the muggers in the city, succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
Shafiul Islam Masud, 32, of East Nakhalpara, was attacked in front of Notre Dame College by a gang of muggers while he was on his way home in a rickshaw from Saydabad bus terminal in the early yours of May 31.
Victim's cousin Mohammad Sagor said, “The snatchers stabbed in his chest and took away bag, mobile phone and other valuables from him.”
He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where he died at the intensive care unit in the afternoon.
