Training for newsmen begins in Mymensingh

A week-long foundation training course for journalists working in different national and local dailies began at Mymensingh Press Club yesterday.
Mass Line Media Centre (MMC) with assistance from CARITAS Switzerland organized the training programme.
MMC programme officer Mubarak Hossain Khan was in the chair while CARITAS regional director Theofil Nokrek inaugurated the programme as chief guest.
Among others, press club vice-president Ziauddin Ahmed, News Today correspondent Fazlur Rahman Siddiquee, MMC Coordinator Syed Reazul Islam and MMC official Sharmin Akhtar Sagari spoke on the occasion.
A total of 20 journalists of Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Tangail, Sherpur, Netrakona and Kishoreganj took part.
