One beaten dead in Sirajganj

An elderly man was beaten to death by a group of miscreants over previous enmity at Kakilamari village in Shahzadpur upazila yesterday morning, police said.
The victim is Shahid Pramanik, 65, of the same village.
Poice said there was a long-standing feud between Pramanik group and Shikder group. Following the feud, a gang of miscreants numbering eight to 10 belonging to Shikder group attacked Shahid while he was on way to local bazaar at about 9.00 am.
Shahzadpur police recovered the body. A case was lodged with Shahzadpur police station.
