Bangladesh face Pakistan in 2nd ODI today
Bangladesh go into the second one-day international against Pakistan in Faisalabad today with a more acceptable combination in a desperate attempt to be competitive after the 152-run thrashing in the first game in Lahore on Tuesday.
The Tigers, who fielded three and a half bowlers in Lahore where the hosts piled up 322 despite an initial hiccup, were weighing an option of bringing back paceman Syed Rasel in place of young off-spinner Mahmudullah Riyad. Bangladesh were bundled out for 129 in their first game.
However, the team management might opt for a left-handed batsman in Zunaed Siddiqui to bolster the batting. In that event the axe might fall on middle-order batsman Rokibul Hasan.
The second match, also a day-night affair, will kick off at the Iqbal Stadium at 4pm Bangladesh Standard Time. Bangladesh Television and satellite channel Ten Sports will beam live coverage of the match.
Pakistan invited Bangladesh to take part in the five-match one-day series after Australia withdrew from their scheduled tour on security ground.
