ICC-B e-learning programme
The International Chamber of Commerce- Bangladesh (ICC-B) yesterday launched a skill development initiative for executives involved in international trade.
The IFC "FIT (Finance of International Trade) Initiative' has been designed to at develop skills of those who are dealing with international traders and businesses.
The e-learning program is undertaken by the ICC-B where the participants will be benefited by learning about financial and other aspects of international trade from the Institute of Export in the United Kingdom.
The institute will also offer certificates to successful participants as well as they will receive certificate of achievements in Documentary Credit and UCP 600 from the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
ICC-B President Mahbubur Rahman formally launched the IFC-FIT initiative at the Bangladesh -China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC).
The 'FIT Initiative' provides structured learning in the full range of Finance of International Trade Products including Documentary Collections, Factoring, Invoice Discounting, Forfeiting, Export Credit Insurance and other form of 'open account' financing.
The 'FIT Initiative' has been developed with the support of the "IFC Global Trade Finance Programme' which has been proven to be highly successful in global trade finance support programmes for banks and their customers in emerging markets, including Bangladesh, Rahman said.
The ICC-B President also said ICC Bangladesh is pleased to act as the local partner for the establishment of the IFC 'FIT Initiative' in Bangladesh and Bangladesh was chosen as the first country for the launch of such an important initiative.
