Reefat, Mostafa on top

Grandmaster Reefat Bin Sattar and Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan shared the lead in the Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd 38th National A Chess Championship at the close of the second round at the Media Centre of the Bangladesh Olympic Association yesterday.
Reefat defeated Mahtabuddin Ahmed while Mostafa beat Mohammad Sirajul Kabir Bhuiyan in the second round matches to secure maximum two points from as many matches.
In the day's other matches, FM Nasir Ahmed and FM Mehdi Hasan Parag drew against holder GM Ziaur Rahman and runner-up GM Niaz Murshed respectively.
IM Abu Sufian Shakil beat Jamal Uddin, IM Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar defeated against Debaraj Chatterjee while FM Mohammad Javed beat FM Taibur Rahman.
Zia, Niaz, Sagar, Nasir, Parag have one and half point each.
