Transport strike called off

Panchagarh District Transport Owners' Association and the transport workers' unions withdrew their indefinite strike on Sunday night after a 'fruitful' meeting held between the district civil and police administration and transport leaders at the deputy commissioner's (DC) conference room. Earlier, the transport owners and workers began an indefinite bus strike in Panchagarh district from Sunday morning, demanding ban on plying of unauthorised human haulers like nasimon, karimon, bhotvoti and battery-run easy bike on all 10 roads and highways in the district.
