Advanced course for govt officials begins

The 59th advanced course on administration and development began at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) yesterday, says a press release.
A total of 27 deputy secretaries to the government are taking part in this two and a half month training course.
Abu Md Maniruzzaman Khan, rector of BPATC, presided over the inaugural function and formally opened the course.
Khan said in his speech, the course is designed to give an opportunity to get acquainted with national and international issues and develop the required knowledge, skills and attitude and to cultivate high sense of ethics, values and good practices to ensure transparency and accountability in day-to-day public administration.
The centre is dedicated to provide need-based training to the members of all cadres, he added.
