BSF kills 2 on Jhenidah, Kurigram borders
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead two unidentified youths on the border areas of Chowgachha upazila in Jhenidah and Nageshwari upazila in Kurigram early yesterday and on Sunday night.
BSF shot dead one unidentified youth and injured one another at Basher Bhita border under Nageshwari upazila of the district yesterday morning, reports our Kurigram correspondent.
As two youths entered Bangladesh territory at about 5:30am, BSF men shot them, killing one on the spot and injuring the other in the leg, said BDR and locals.
Bangladeshi Tk 190 was found in the pocket of the deceased and he is possibly a Bangladeshi, sources said.
Following the incident, a flag meeting was held between the BDR and BSF.
Our Jhenidah Correspondent adds:
BSF men of Mama Bhagna camp fired a shot on Sunday night and the body of a young man was seen lying on Bangladesh side of the barbed wire on Andulia border yesterday morning, said Abdul Awal, a habilder of Chowgachha Mashila BDR camp.
Later, BSF brought the body to Indian territory.
Identity of the youth could not be known.
