Hilsa export should stop

Hilsa, our national fish, has been getting out of reach of common people. Once in this country there was plenty of this tasty fish. Mass people could easily buy this fish cheap. But now they can not think of buying it because of its scarcity and high price.
Our new generation probably have forgotten the taste of hilsa. We were surprised to hear that the export price of hilsa is lower than the price in our local market. During last Ramadan, from The Daily Star report we came to know that one kg of hilsa was being exported to our neighbouring country at Tk. 450 whereas the same quantity of the fish sells at Tk. 950 in the local market.
We the poor citizens of the country can not understand why this disparity in the price. We request the authorities concerned as well as the government to stop the export of this delicious fish.
