A man-eater Royal Bengal Tiger yesterday morning killed a teenaged boy when he went to collect leaves for the deer of Burigoalini forest office at Bakhrakhali in the Sundarbans.
The victim was identified as Ripon, 17, son of Eshaque Ali of village Burigoalini in Shyamnagar upazila.
Ripon was collecting geoa leaves when the Royal Bengal Tiger swooped on him and dragged him into the deep forest.
Local people recovered the body at about 2:30pm.
