HC grants bail for 11

The High Court yesterday granted anticipatory bail for four months to 11 accused in a case filed on charge of attacking Abdus Subhan Golap, special assistant to the prime minister, in Madaripur.
On August 31, the motorcade of Golap came under attack in Kalkini upazila of Madaripur that led to a clash between two groups of the ruling Awami League.
On September 1, Md Dulal Beperi, a local AL leader, filed the case with Kalkini Police Station against 12 local AL leaders and activists in this connection.
Eleven of the accused recently filed a petition with the HC, seeking anticipatory bail in this case.
