4 Hizb-ut Tawhid men held
Four Hizb-ut Tawhid militants were arrested while distributing anti-government leaflets at Teesta railway station in Sadar upazila on Monday night.
About 200 leaflets were seized from their possession, police said. The arrestees were produced in the court on Tuesday and the court sent them to the jail.
The four were identified as Mizabur Rahman, 28, son of Rais Uddin, Sujon Islam, 25, son of Jamal Uddin, both residents of Satiyan village in Gangny upazila of Meherpur district, Ruhul Miah, 24, son of Sazu Miah of Bamon Chhora village and Rafiqul Islam, 26, son of Khoda Bux of Jaliyachar village in Ulipur upazila in Kurigram district.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Lalmonirhat Railway PS Abu Hasan Sarker said, informed by local people the railway police caught the four Hizb-ut Tawhid men red handed when they were distributing anti-government leaflets on the station's platform.
A case was lodged against the arrestees with Lalmonirhat railway PS on Monday night.
