Diganta TV

With the onset of Eid-ul-fitr the small screen is a big attraction. All the Bangla channels have come up with a surfeit of entertainment ranging from special TV plays, tele-films, musical shows and magazine programmes. There's likely to be something for everyone. A rundown of the Eid-special programmes on different channels:

Mini-series “Rohoshho Jaal”
As a part of the Eid special line up of programmes, Diganta TV is airing a six-episode drama serial titled “Rohoshho Jaal”. Written by Rizwan Khan, the serial begins on Eid day at 9:15 pm and will continue for a week at the same time every day. The cast includes Dr. Ejaz, Faruk Ahmed, Shadhin Khasru, Nasim, Pran Roy and Mukti.
The story revolves around three friends: Ashik, Sohan and Robin. Robin was born in London and never visits his motherland. His grandfather was a landlord and had a big mansion in Old Dhaka. From his childhood, Robin dreamt of visiting Dhaka where he wanted to spend some time with his relatives. Out of the blue, Robin gets a chance to visit Dhaka with his friends Ashik, Sohan and their families. They spend a joyful time in their traditional house but are faced with some mysterious incidents.
Travel Musical Show “Music Caravan”
A travel programme titled “Music Caravan” will be aired on Diganta TV on the second day of Eid at 6pm. Promising singers Topu, Shafiq Tuhin, Liza, Toushif and Shahjahan Shohag while visiting Buriganga river will perform their favourite numbers. Tanvir Tareq hosts the programme. The musical programme is produced by Lutfur Hasan.
TV Play “Shudhu Bhalobasha Achhe”
Diganta TV will air single-episode drama “Sudhu Bhalobasha Achhe” on the third day of Eid at 1:05pm. The play has been written by Ishak Khan and directed by Jamal Uddin Jamal. The cast includes Shahed, Bonna Mirza, Rasheda Chowdhury, Nafa and others.
Shihab and Shaheen are two brothers who have lost their parents. Their aged grandmother takes them under her wings. Both brothers are mature. Shihab is a physician by profession and Shaheen studies in a private university. The grandmother takes the initiative to marry them off.
