Stalkers throw acid on schoolgirl

A schoolgirl was severely burnt as stalkers threw acid on her in South Babukha area of the city on Monday night.
Masuda Aktar Moni, 15, daughter of Mokbul Islam of the area and student at Samaj Kalyan Bidyabithi School, received injuries in her face and chest.
Family members said, stalkers Ariful Islam, Alal, Arefin and Dulal used to tease Moni on her way to school.
The four gathered in front of Moni's house at around 11:00pm. After sometime, Ariful entered Moni's room and threw acid on her when she was asleep.
The girl was rushed to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
Later she was shifted to Acid Survivors' Foundation at Dhaka as her condition deteriorated.
In Moulvibazar district, criminals killed a three-month-old girl as her mother refused to respond to their indecent proposal at Surikhal village in Rajnagar upazila early Sunday, reports UNB.
The officer in-charge of Rajnagar police station, said criminals barged into the house of Cherag Ali in his absence in the early hours and gave the proposal to his wife Rupia.
As she refused to accept their proposal, the gang murdered her daughter Taslima.
